Quick & Cute Recycling

Image
Hey there! Sophia here. Today's post will be super short, but MEGA handy. I am going to teach you one way to recycle plastic in a cute, quick and convenient way! You will need: ONE kinder surprise egg (you can eat the actual chocolate), nail polish (any colour), permenant black marker, and a tip-ex pen. Instructions: Firstly, eat your kinder surprise, and see what the surprise is! Then, apply three coats of nail polish onto the little case that the surprise was in. Wait 10-15 minutes to dry. Next draw on cute eyes and mouth with your permanant marker pen, and do the eyeballs using a tip-ex pen. Finally, put your earphones inside the case, and you're good to go!     Now, not only have you saved one little bit of plastic of ending up in the wrong place, but also have a trendy place to store your headphones! Polar Problem

Image
Hi everyone! In my previous two posts we talked about recycling paper, and whether or not it was always a good idea. In the end we reached the decision that  eco-friendly paper (click for more info)  was good for the environment and could be used just the way normal paper is. But that's only a small part of global warming, and perhaps even not even the most important.     Have you ever had those li'l guys standing out in your front garden in December, acting as the best possible Christmas decoration? I actually haven't but have had a little snowman on skis, but then again that's not     really my point. In fact what I'm saying has nothing to do with Christmas whatsoever (even though it's the best time of the year, and I promise to do a Christmas issue of "Precious Planet" in December). What I'm really saying is that in a few years time, you'll be putting up fake decorations because guess what? Polar bears are getting extinct. We have used pola...

Reaching A Solution

Image
Have you read my previous post? If not, you should read it, otherwise you'd be confused about what I'm talking about here! For those of you who have read it, I'm carrying on from where we left off last time. So, let's reach a solution: Do we waste paper, or electricity? This is one of the hardest decisions to make (the hardest being whether to have a dairy milk bar or galaxy bar for snack. My cousin prefers the dairy milks, but I like the galaxies, especially the caramel one and the cookie crumble). Anyway, we now come to a whole new idea. Re-cycling. Recycle paper! You might be jotting down someone's phone number, for example, but do you need a whole new blankety-blank sheet of paper for that? Of course not! Simply pull a bit out of the recycling bin to write down your friend's number. But is it always the case that you can write/draw on a scrappy bit of paper? Well, probably not. You might have homework for school where you have to draw something or make a po...
